JANELLE LAMPP LICENSES A STYLE OF HER OWN

SMYRNA, GA, August 16, 2004—Janelle Lampp, acclaimed for her design and color expertise, has been a consultant to the rug and home textile industries for 18 years. The success of her work led to the recent launch of her own brand—JanelleStyle—which is currently licensed by Colonial Mills, Inc., Jaipur Rugs and Homefires. Lampp’s creations are fueled by her extensive experience in sourcing, design, product development, art direction and marketing. She holds a MBA and AAS in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and is often invited to speak at seminars and corporate meetings as well as write for industry trade publications. Lampp also shares her knowledge at the Surfaces Trade Show in Las Vegas where she conducts an annual seminar on design, development and trends in area and accent rugs. As I worked with major manufacturers, importers and retailers worldwide, I began to develop a style that I wanted to brand as my own,” says Lampp. “I believe in design that is fluid and practical yet transitional enough to dress a casual and eclectic lifestyle. My work adheres to a decidedly female, not necessarily feminine, point of view, avoiding the too traditional or wildly contemporary. Although red plays a prominent role in my palette, I am equally at ease with strong, saturated colors as with calmed washed ones.” The first licensee to sign Lampp was Colonial Mills, Inc., quickly followed by Jaipur Rugs and Homefires. The collections with each are unique, yet in keeping with Lampp’s signature style. All licensees will be showcasing her designs at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point. COLONIAL MILLS, INC. (CMI) – High Point Showroom: SAM G-1332 Simply Home™ is the exciting result of CMI’s collaboration with Janelle Lampp. The collection embraces Lampp’s bright playful style with unique braided rugs that can be used in a variety of settings, from outdoor porches and patios to bathrooms and kitchens. Within the collection are six patterns: Boardwalk, Rally, Frame It, Line Dance, Pinstripe Border andHopscotch. All are made from 100% polypropylene and can be custom colored from a bank of 23 shades. Size options are vast with shapes offered in oval, round, rectangle, square, octagon and runner. Suggested retail is $349 for a 6' x 9'. JAIPUR RUGS – High Point Showroom: SAMS I-700 Jaipur Rugs launched its Transitions Collection of JanelleStyle rugs in April 2004 and continues to add to the line. The newest member is Bookstacks—a colorful JanelleStyle design that teases the eye with its thoughtful use of positive and negative space. Like all rugs in Jaipur’s Transitions Collection, Bookstacks is hand-knotted of 100% wool and offered in standard sizes of 5' x 8', 8' x 11' and 3' x 8' runner. It can be custom colored from a palette of 125 shades and custom sized up to 22' x 36'. Suggested retail for a 5' x 8' is $895. HOMEFIRES – High Point Showroom IHFC D-302 Homefires offers JanelleStyle rugs within its Homefires By Design line. All are 100% wool handtufted from China and offered in a variety of standard sizes. Fresh off the design table are Red Stencil and Blue Stencil, which will be showcased at the upcoming furniture market. These two-color rugs feature an exquisite pattern of raised cut-pile yarns scrolling over a neutral loop field. They come in 3'5" x 5'5", 5' x 8', and 8' x 11' sizes.
